A pioneer in the digital art world, Australian artist Justin Maller has been creating work bridging pop culture and the avant garde since the turn of the century.
Maller has had a celebrated career pushing the boundaries of the digital medium as an independent artist. Since founding seminal art collective Depthcore in 2002, he has created work for clients including Nike, Gatorade, The Grammys, Dolby, LG, Jordan and Under Armour.
Building on this success in 2013, Maller’s groundbreaking, year-long project ‘Facets’ forged an iconic brand cemented in his trademark geometric approach. This style has had a visible and lasting influence on visual art practice around the world.
In 2018 he relocated to Los Angeles to serve as the Chief Creative Officer for DeviantArt, joining an executive team that relaunched the iconic brand following an acquisition by Wix.
2021 saw Maller return full time to art creation, releasing several impactful bodies of personal work in the Web 3 space, including "The Second Storm", "In Waves" & "Shrines". He also collaborated with Shaquille O'Neal on his debut Web 3 offering, "Eras of Dominance".
Following the success of these collections, Maller returned to his 'Facets' project in 2022, creating another 365 unique pieces over the course of the year. This work was featured in exhibitions around the world, including The Crypt Gallery, Artifex NYC & Beeple Studios.
