Jason Madara is back with stylist Mindy Saad for the latest issue of GENLUX, Winter/Resort ’23, where they partnered with Louis Vuitton to showcase some of their finest looks head-to-toe.
Working with Mindy, Jason says, grants him great creative freedom and a chance not to overanalyze his shots. What we get is something more playful, cheeky, and whimsical than what we’ve seen from Jason in the past, but still with the same sense of movement that we love.
Riffing off of a natural sky, the blue gel background and open lighting bring an element of airiness, contrasted with redhead models Lydia Kitty Burns & Ace Boutin who add a sense of intrigue to the story.
Jason balances interesting portraiture with fashion, toeing the line of art photography. It results from being present in the moment and genuinely allowing gut instinct and play to seep into work.
