Joshua Kissi directed a Super Bowl LVI spot for Google that aims to accurately portray the skin tone of individuals of different backgrounds and ethnicities using the Google Pixel 6 with Real Tone.
Historically, camera technology hasn’t accurately represented darker skin tones. As part of Google’s commitment to making images more equitable for all, they worked directly with a range of photographers, including Joshua and contributing photographers Deun Ivory and Aundre Larrow, to showcase an inclusive camera that sees and highlights all people and the nuances of skin tones beautifully and authentically.
They naturally partnered with Lizzo, one of the most unapologetically real people in the spotlight, to empower the world to be seen under an authentic lens.
