In Waves

Maller's sophomore collection in the Web 3 space, IN WAVES dealt with the chaotic emotions swirling in the aftermath of his mothers death, THE SECOND STORM's success and more.

ARTIST STATEMENT:

This year has felt like ten. In the first six months alone I flew to Australia from LA, went through two weeks of hotel quarantine, lost my mother to cancer, shared the art I made about those two experiences with the world, married my wife and left my job to go back to creating full time.

I don't know how to process it all. There's so much good in there, and so much pain. So much to be grateful for, so much to mourn. Each emotion tinged by it's opposite as one follows the other every day, endlessly, relentlessly, in waves.

This collection is my attempt to show these overwhelming waves of sadness, joy, grief, creativity and ennui and the detritus they leave behind.
