The countdown begins for the September 12th Rizzoli Publications release of New York City Ballet: Choreography & Couture from Rizzoli Publications. Pari Dukovic shot all 129 looks from 29 top fashion houses on 11 NYC Ballet dancers in just 6 days. He collaborated with NYCB's Marc Happel to capture the costumes' artistry and the dancers' movement.
The book features over 200 pages with costumes by Valentino, Iris van Herpen, Thom Browne, Alexander McQueen, Carolina Herrera, Dries Van Noten, Virgil Abloh, Oscar de la Renta, Gareth Pugh, Anna Sui, Zac Posen, Christopher John Rogers, Raf Simons, and more. Essays by Tonne Goodman and Patricia Mears and foreword by Sarah Jessica Parker, who initiated the collaborations with designers a decade ago for NYCB's Fall Fashion Gala.
