In 2012 Shantell Martin embarked on creating a collection of one-of-a-kind hand drawn sweaters, each unique and a piece of art individually or as a part of a collection. The owner of the piece would then have the choice to treat the piece as art and hang it and preserve it, or enjoy it and wear it out in the world. This continues to be a fundamental element in Shantell Martin's work, whether in art or fashion, bridging the gap of engagement between her art and her audience.
