In his Day to Night series, Stephen Wilkes has photographed iconic landmarks from a fixed camera angle continuously for up to 15 hours. This process, which results in an "epic panorama of life and earth in motion," is painstaking — Wilkes shoots up to 2,000 photographs from a stationary vantage point. A select group of images are then digitally blended into one photograph, capturing the changing of time in a single frame.
