In Black History Month inspired sports wear collection for Peloton members, Temi partnered with Jess Sims and Dr. Chelsea Jackson Robertson, two of Peloton's black instructors, to talk about what Black History Month meant to them and what they’d like to see in this collection.
“We talked about how the black experience wasn’t linear –– meaning a lot of us have gone through different things in life and some of us realize our blackness sooner than others. We also wanted to create something that was vibrant, eye catching and also wearable ALL YEAR LONG.”
Inspired by the Andrika symbol (Sankofa), meaning to retrieve - to go back and get. This collection was created in honor of their Black ancestors.
