Temi partnered with the United States Department of Health and Human Services to turn the abbreviation for antiretroviral therapy (ART) into a celebration of self-expression, an affirmation of self-worth, and a reminder of the importance of care: “I am a work of ART.” His illustrated portraits turned these subjects living with HIV into living works of art as a way to tell the stories of real people who are successfully receiving treatment. The a community-informed national campaign showcases how ART allows them to get back to living life on their terms.
